Hi everyone; welcome to my website! My name is Reese Perini and I am from Greensboro, North Carolina. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2024 with a degree in Biology and a Studio Art minor. I am now pursuing a PhD in biomedical research at Wake Forest University. I am passionate about science and art, and I am very excited to share my art with you here!
My mom is a painter, so I grew up surrounded by art and creativity. She was always encouraging artistic activities, whether that was painting with watercolors or drawing with bark on the driveway. I took classes at Serendipity Art School from 2nd grade through 12th grade, where I was mentored by an amazing artist named Jane Averill. Mrs. Jane gave me the freedom to create art in the medium and subject matter of my choosing. I learned so much about painting with her guidance. As I got older, I found a love for oil paint, and became more inspired by nature. My paintings have become a way for me to express an appreciation for life on our planet. I knew I wanted to continue painting in college, so I devoted my studio art minor to taking as many painting classes as I could.
The majority of my work is oil on canvas, although I also enjoy using acrylics and watercolors. I love to paint people’s pets as well as landscapes, flowers, wildlife, and the occasional Disney scene. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
